According to Judaism, marriage, and its eternal principals, was made in The Beginning, at the time of the Creation of the world.
Marriage is not a law, but rather a blessing from G-d, enabling the perpetuation of the species as well as the enhancement of personal growth.
In my painting, ‘Rosh HaShanah, Wedding of the Creation’, I have tried to express this idea of marriage and Creation being inseparable. Against the backdrop of the sun, moon and stars of the Creation, the Bride and Groom marry under the chupah (canopy). The pomegranates in this art work, due to their many seeds, symbolise increase, fertility, abundance, prosperity.
In my wedding paintings with flowers I have tried to express the deep love the bride and groom have for each other.
